The Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst in conjunction with major sponsor Powercor Australia and category sponsors, City of Greater Bendigo, Bendigo Bank, Bendigo Advertiser, Latrobe University, 3BO/Star FM, Carlton and United and Southern Cross Ten are excited to bring you these awards. The awards promise to be bigger and better than ever with major change in the categories, entry and judging processes making the awards more user friendly for business and employees.

The Bendigo Business Excellence Awards Website required a fresh new look. The site is a fully interactive database driver Content Management System. The CMS was specifically written for this website however can be modified to use for other sites.
The idea behind the design was that the site had to be easy to update for the Administrators of BBEA without them needing to know or learn complex ASP, XHTML and CSS. It features a very detailed and easy to understand Administrative area where the site can be updated, statistics can be viewed and many, many more features. It uses a WYSIWYG (”What You See Is What You Get”) editor similar to Microsoft Word. The site also features a comprehensive Flash and Image Directory for full total control of the content.

The site required a module where visitors to the site could nominate an individual or business online for the Bendigo Business Excellance Awards for that specific year. The nominations were added to a Microsoft Access database and also emailed to the Administrators of the site.

The site utilizes a vast range of website development technologies including , Flash, XHTML, CSS, DHTML, ASP, & Javascript.
